If you’re the type who wants to start a blog strictly for advertising or income purposes, then you have to make it a bit more formal. Remember, you’re promoting a product, a service, or a website.
If you are running a corporate blog, you would want to appeal to clients, and not scare them away. Don’t be too casual. But don’t be too stiff, either, or you will turn people away.
If you would blog for ad revenues, keep in mind the kinds of people you’re appealing to. Basically, you talk about what would please them. Envision a blog that would look professional enough to attract your target audience.
